Building Stable Lives - East Lake

Building Stables Lives East Lake is a community collaboration with the ultimate goal of self-sufficency and independence for the East Lake community. Working together, we are empowring people to build better lives.

The Partnership is implementing a community plan of action, facilitated by United Way of Greater Chattanooga, to help lead a pilot effort with the goal of decreasing the cycle of dependency that has traped these vulnerable families and individuals.   By assisting individuals and families with their immediate needs and then helping them link to appropriate housing, employment, counseling, education and support services, Building Stable Lives participants will be empowered, over the course of time, to develop social and economic independence.

Through this project, the East Lake community aims to be a model of the way in which community collaboration and resources can be brought together to affect permanent change in the lives of its citizens in need. For more information, visit United Way of Greater Chattanooga's website, or call the Partnership at (423) 755-2822.
