Since 1914, the Chattanooga Times Free Press “Neediest Cases” fund has exemplified Chattanooga’s community spirit of compassion and generosity. The Partnership for Families, Children and Adults has had the privilege of overseeing the distribution of these funds to those for whom no other source of help is available.

Last year's Neediest Cases fund drive was the most successful of the past five years, totaling $45,166.96! This amazing feat was accomplished thanks to many generous donors and the dedicated staff of the Chattanooga Times Free Press. Countless individuals and families across the community will now have one more resource they can turn to in their time of need.

Each gift to the fund helps to make a real difference for someone in our community who is experiencing real hurt and needs immediate help. From the single mom with small children, who faces eviction at Christmas, to the isolated senior who is living without electricity and, therefore without heat or light. This fund is there to help when all other resources have been exhausted. Once the immediate need is met, the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults then provides the “wrap-around services” that will help to strengthen the recipients’ situations, empowering them to build better lives.

To make a donation or inquire about how you can help make a real difference through this fund, please contact the Partnership’s Development Department at 423.697.3807.
