Position: Crisis Advocate I – Victim Support Services, ( 2nd Shift – 2 pm – 10 pm M-F)

Reports to: Shelter Program Manager

Start Date: Immediately

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Shelter Program Manager, provides advocacy services at the Family Violence Shelter to assist clients who are victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. The focus is to provide services that will assist and empower the client to move from victim to self-sufficiency and independence and to break the cycle of abuse and violence.

Education / Experience: Associate degree in human service from an accredited college or university or in a related field such as psychology, sociology or other human and behavioral courses with one year of satisfactory work experience in human services field.

Salary:Non-Exempt, Grade 160, $16.41
