Partnership serves as the lead agency for United Way of Greater Chattanooga's Building Stable Lives program. The goal is to decrease the cycle of poverty that has trapped vulnerable families and individuals living in our communities.
By assisting individuals and families with their immediate needs and then helping link them to appropriate housing, employment, counseling, education and support services, Building Stable Lives participants develop social and economic independence.
Through this project, these communities aim to be a model of the way in which community collaboration and resources can be brought together to affect permanent change in the lives of its citizens in need. What services does Building Stable Lives provide?

Coaches provide resume writing & interview skills training, job search assistance, financial education, and referrals to several local agencies for services we are unable to provide on-site. Each time a Life Coach meets with a client, the goal is to use client-focused questions to facilitate improvement in decision-making & problem-solving skills.

What limits are there to service?
Life Coaches do not provide financial assistance or shelter & are not licensed clinicians. Referrals to appropriate local agencies are made for services the Life Coaches are not able to provide, including health care, mental health care, housing/shelter programs, and educational training.
