Job Summary: Under direction of the Assistant Director or assigned administrator, to be responsible for supporting multi-site facilities in a safe, customer-focused manner, primarily located at Victim Support Services.  Performs repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance work to ensure the building maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained.    This position provides cleaning to assigned areas of the Victim Support Services facility. 

Education: An Associates’ Degree (strongly preferred) or Technical Course from an accredited college or technical school or 2-3 years of work experience in the area of property maintenance and custodial responsibility

Salary: Non-Exempt, Grade 120, $15.00/hr. (60% - 22.5 hrs./wk.)

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Contractor 

Under the general supervision of the Nursing Coordinator and the Medical Director, the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will perform forensic medical exams on victims of sexual assault.  The forensic medical exam involves a detailed history, a physical assessment including a pelvic exam, the collection of evidence, and the administration of prophylactic medications.  The SANE must ensure confidential, quality care for victims by attending to physical, emotional, and educational needs of each patient.  The SANE may also serve as a witness providing objective observations for cases in the judicial system and may participate in a multidisciplinary team that reviews current cases for ongoing coordination.

This is a contract position that requires a minimum of four (4) twelve-hour on-call shifts each month.  Scheduling is determined one month in advance.  The SANE must adhere to all agency and program policies and procedures to ensure quality care.  SANE education and training can be obtained after hire and will be partially reimbursed by the organization.  Training may take several months to complete.

Requirements:  Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or higher with an unencumbered license to practice in the State of Tennessee.  Must live within one (1) hour of the organization.  Must have or obtain professional liability insurance.  The SANE should also have excellent writing skills, oral communication, and the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients and their families; the ability to attend meetings and training sessions; basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Word.

Family Counselor – Family Focused Solutions Service to Marion, Bledsoe and Sequatchie Counties

Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Family Focused Solutions Program Manager, provides counseling (mental health, learning disabilities, domestic abuse/violence, alcohol and drug abuse, child behavior problems, teenage mothers, etc.) and support services to clients in specific counties that meet the requirements under the Families First contract to remove the obstacles that will promote the client’s ability to achieve socio-economic independence. The incumbent shall provide assessment, counseling and referral service to referred Families First clients with employment barriers. The incumbent provides related activities such 1) short-term solution-focused therapy; 2) intensive individualized case management/advocacy utilizing agency and/or outside resources; 3) self-advocacy training; 4) family counseling; 5) financial management training to promote self-sufficiency; 6) life skills training; 7) parent skills training; 8) psychoeducation and therapeutic groups; and 9) performing basic administrative and educational tasks.

Education:  A Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field.                                                     

Experience: At least one year of post Master experience in social work or related field.

Additional Requirements: Experience with Families First preferred.

Salary: Grade 170 (Range $32k - $34k)
