Our coaches will help you set and achieve your personal and professional goals. You'll receive support in finding and securing jobs, enhancing your education, and obtaining stable housing. If you’re a Hamilton County parent or guardian of kids under 18—or if your kid is 18 and still in high school—you can join us! We’re looking for people who really want a better life for themselves and their families. Alongside goal-setting and problem-solving guidance, we provide resources like resume writing workshops, interview preparation, and financial literacy education. You’ll need to meet some financial guidelines, but don’t worry, we’ll help you understand these rules with our team and the supportive folks at United Way’s 211 hotline.     Start by getting in touch with 211. Our team will help schedule a consultation to discuss the program details and your eligibility.

     If you’re eligible, we’ll guide you through filling out the application form to officially join the Generations Stronger program.

    03  Begin Your Journey

    Once your application is accepted, we’ll set up your initial program intake and match you with a life coach to start working towards your goals.

    • Who can join?

      Hamilton County parents or guardians of children under 18, including 18-year-olds who are still in school are eligible. You must meet certain financial guidelines from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. We’ll help you sort out the details when you sign up.

    • Do I need to meet financial requirements?

      Yes, you need to fit the financial guidelines for a program called Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or TANF for short. If you have any questions or need more details, you can chat with the team at United Way’s 211. They’ll help you understand everything, and our Generations Stronger Program Manager will double-check it all when you sign up for the program.

    • Is there a cost?

      Nope! Generations Stronger is a free program to anyone that quailifies and recieves a referral from 211.

    • What if I don't have custody right now?

      If you are actively pursuing custody of your children, you are eligible to participate in the Generations Stronger program.

    • How do I signup?

      It's as easy as calling, texting or emailing 211

    • What kind of support will I receive?

      You’ll receive personalized life coaching to help set and achieve your goals. We offer resume writing assistance, interview skills training, job search support, and guidance on securing stable housing. Additionally, we provide financial education and crisis support as needed.

    • How long is the program?

      Generations Stronger is a one-year program designed to provide comprehensive support and guidance as you work towards independence and stability.

    • Can I join if I'm already employed or have housing?

      Yes, you can join Generations Stronger even if you are currently employed or have housing. Our program is designed to support continued growth and improvement, helping you enhance your career, stabilize your housing situation further, or achieve other personal goals.

    • What happens after the program ends?

      After completing the Generations Stronger program, we offer follow-up support to ensure you continue to build on your successes. We also connect you with ongoing community resources and potential alumni networks to maintain the progress you’ve achieved.

    • Who do I contact if I have more questions?
