Monthly Pathways Program

Camp HOPE Chattanooga's programming includes a year-round Monthly Pathways Program that provides holistic support and engagement, including Challenge by Choice activities, monthly throughout the year for children and teenagers who have experienced trauma due to violence. We divide participants into 2 individual cohorts: ages 7-11 and 12-17. Camp HOPE encourages healthy relationship building with each other and their counselors.

Hope is assessed using the Children's Hope Scale, which examines the extent to which children believe they can establish pathways to their goals as well as develop and maintain the drive to follow through. We are focused on creating hope and healing-centered pathways through collaborative, trauma-informed care for youth exposed to trauma to believe in themselves, in others, and in their dreams.

Activities include team building, relationship building, mindfulness, and skills that will encourage building HOPE and resilience. The components of Pathways utilize evidence-based curriculum and give each participant tools to stretch their personal limits, build resilience, and gain confidence. Support and resources are also provided to the family.

Monthly activities will include: kayaking/canoeing, camping, aquarium visits, art classes, music classes, rock climbing, mountain biking, and more! This will lead us to a weeklong summer camp adventure!
